Great excitement today as the 6 metre containerised water treatment plant arrives and is moved into position. The plant is capable of treating 2KL per hour of bore hole water. The treatment consists of pre-treatment(oxidation). Moving three 15 000 tanks into position. Our minimum daily requirement is 45 000 litres. The water treatment plant is being constructed and is due to arrive in May.We are hoping that we will be largely self sufficient with our borehole supply. #water #borehole

As the drought in the Western Cape gets worse and faced with the reality that our dams could run dry, we decided to start our quest for water independance. A drilling company was contacted and rotary mud drilling started. Solid granite was struck at 40 metres and drilling was abandoned. We will now be investigating the possibility of linking up multiple well points. #water #borehole #watersecurity
